As a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist who has been studying music since the age of four, Joselyn Sky is the current Youth Ambassador for the California Bluegrass Association. She plays harp, mandolin, guitar, clawhammer banjo, piano, and ukulele. Joselyn has studied mandolin and guitar with Jack Tuttle, harp with Penny Beavers and Alexander Boldachev, and vocals and songwriting with Celia Woodsmith.
She is an award-winning classical harpist and has played with San Luis Obispo’s Orchestra Novo, as well as the Santa Maria Philharmonic.
A few years ago, she fell head over heels in love with bluegrass and is now the lead singer and harpist in her bluegrass band Blue Birds On A Wire. The band plays many of Joselyn’s original songs; she has written 45 and counting (without any help from AI, which seems important to say in this day and age!). 
She has performed with Michael Franti five times, and has stood in with her bluegrass heroes Aj Lee & Blue Summit, Della Mae, and Sister Sadie. At Rockygrass in 2025 she joined Sam Bush for the "Cluster-Pluck" sharing the stage with Bela Fleck, Molly Tuttle, Aj Lee, Lindsay Lou, and Darol Anger, among many others. 
In addition to performing and composing, she often writes articles for the California Bluegrass Association publication, the Bluegrass Breakdown.
